Welcome to 2008...

Happy New Year!

I am now continuing work on my Souvenirs project, from which I'll release an album's worth of tunes that have two things in common: the acoustic guitar (my first and still main instrument), and the fact that they literally are all souvenirs - islands of sanity for me, really - written, recorded and collected over several years with cancer and all that goes with it as the backdrop.

Also in 2008 will come more dance/club remixes - for these, I'll be placing WANTED notices here for interested remixers. Many have asked me when I will tour - well, I'm in great health once again and I'd love to get on board a qualitative tour.

Have a great year this year. May your dreams as well as mine come true.

Cheers,
Lorayne :-)

Keep Me Inside Single Released on Zena...

Keep Me Inside Single Released on Zena... Welcome to the new lorayne.com site...

My new Keep Me Inside Single was officially released on Zena Records on November 15th, 2007. This single features the original version of the song along with four great remixes from an all-South African lineup of DJs after my first house single Something About You hit there first.

Thanks and big respect out to DJs Kuchi and Nico M, and to Clockworx Studios and Blackwhole Entertainment for their renditions of Keep Me. Regards also to Wiredolly for her remix of a brand new song Feels Like I'm Alive, which manages to combine alt-rock and house together in a totally cool vibe.

Enjoy the tunez...

- Lorayne :-)
